TBR 19

2019 proved difficult for TBR, a delayed build and some reliability issues meant it never reached full potential. It did feature front and rear wing DRS and the lightest yet most complex aerodynamics kit to date, meaning it was a year to learn from and carry the positives over to the next season.  TBR19 epitomised the issues faced with previous TBR iterations and was a significant learning point for future TBR teams. In many cases, the car has been over-engineered, with complex innovations, such as DRS, taking time away from testing at the sacrifice of reliability. A greater emphasis on simplicity in favour of reliability would undoubtedly improve future competition results. An important lesson learned for the future.
