TEAM BATH RACING
Team Bath Racing is the University of Bath's leading Formula Student team. Each year, a team of around 25 final-year engineering students undertake an 18-month project to design and build a single-seat, open-wheeled racecar from scratch. We use the education we've gained throughout our degrees to solve the unique challenges and problems involved in efficient, cost-effective and innovative ways before taking our car to some of the Formula Student Competitions held all over the world.
TBR22 MISSION STATEMENTS
Weight Reduction
Reducing mass reduces the amount of force required for any form of acceleration. With this in mind, we are designing with mass reduction in focus, to ensure we are the nimblest round the track at competition.
Handling Maximisation
The tight and twisty nature of Formula Student tracks requires excellent handling performance that will inspire increased driver confidence, and thus maximising this aspect of the vehicle will result in the shortest lap times.
Reliability Improvement
A well designed car is excellent only so long as it can prove it at competition. The car must be reliable enough to endure repeated testing on track and eventually finish at all dynamic events to score maximum points at competition.
